Zelma Sherwood Memmott joined her heavenly family on March 7, 2017 at the age of 94 years young. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Zelma was born November 5, 1922 to James Thomas and Mary Jensen Sherwood in Levan, Utah. She was the youngest of 10 children. She married Bryon Fenton Memmott on April 18, 1944 in the Manti Temple. They spent the early years of their marriage moving from port to port due to Byron's service in the Navy during WW II.
Byron and Zelma had three children: Marcus Byron Memmott, Jann Memmott Earnest, and Laurel Memmott Nelson. Family was Zelma's focus and greatest source of happiness.
Zelma was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband Byron and daughter Jann. She lived a full life and was fortunate to enjoy good overall good health.
Zelma was especially appreciative of the great care and attention she received during her last few years of life while living at Laurel Groves Assisted Living in Nephi, Utah.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the Nephi 4th Ward, 500 North 300 East, with graveside dedication to follow at the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
