Zeke Martinez

Zeke Martinez, 42, passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at his home in Sandy to be reunited with his mother, beloved sister, Tanya Martinez, and many more of his loved ones.

Born to his mother, Terttu Petrell and David Martinez February 22, 1981 in Sandy, Utah. Zeke lived an exciting life to say the least. Those who had the opportunity to know him in his youth know that he was fearless and nearly never thought twice. His luck saved him plenty to allow him to see adulthood. In his later years he gained a love for country music and early morning coffee.

Though the mothers of his children,
Heather McCarthy, mother of Corbin Zeke Martinez;
Tara Larsen, Mother of Tatiana Marie Martinez, Maija Brinly Martinez and Kiila Celeste Martinez;
Heather Jackson, mother of Michelle Marie Martinez;
And Barbie Murdock, mother of Chiara Nichelle Murdock;
Are left to continue to support his legacy through his 6 beautiful children, they know they will carry a piece of him always through the love and strength that his children inherited from him.

Zeke was a Jack of all trades and a master of none. He had a knack for tinkering and tools. From construction, to tile, to pools, Zeke did it all. He worked hard to support his family when he had the strength.

Zeke is survived by the mothers of his children, his 5 daughters and son, grandson and near countless siblings.

Zeke will be remembered for his warm hugs, deep laughter, his teeth that many could only wish to have and for always showing up fashionably late.

Zeke fought until he couldn’t fight anymore. His nobility is something that we can only hope to see again in the lifetimes of those who survived him.
