Our beloved mother, wife, and friend passed away from cancer on the morning of the 8th. Born in Shanghai, China, a teenage Xiaolin experienced the realities of the oppressive Cultural Revolution, which took the lives of both her parents. She and her four siblings survived by relying on each other. A lover of music, beauty, life, and self, Xiaolin loved playing the piano and traveling to beautiful destinations. To help others in need, she initially served as a nurse. After studying and graduating from medical technical school, she became a cytogenetic technician.
In 1992, she came to the States to work at the University of Utah. It was in Salt Lake City that she would continue to live and work for 22 years. She loved this land with all her heart, and repaid the opportunity with years of hard work. She is survived by her retired husband Dakai and son Jimmy.
