William Glen Marshall

William Glen Marshall (Bill), 90, our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on December 12, 2017 in Nephi, Utah. He was born on December 24, 1926 to Glen and Minnie Marshall of Santaquin, Utah. Bill later joined the Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He drove a landing craft in Okinawa.

Bill married the love of his life, Betty Gillespie on December 27, 1947, they had six children, Barbara Morrey, Tommy Marshall, Rose Ann Clayton (Jim), Rodger Marshall (Dianna), Steve Marshall (Kelly) and Tammy Painter (Tom). He was married to Betty for 48 years. A time came when they took in and raised their grandson, William Randy Butler, they never asked why. Betty passed away on September 16, 1997. He later married Reta Bennett. She passed away on September 13, 2017.

Bill worked for UDOT for 22 years and never missed a day of work. He later went to work for Norbest Turkey Farm and then went to work for the garden shop, working with the handicapped. Our father worked very hard to take care of his wife and six children. He was loved by all of us kids. We will miss him. He is with our mother now. Rest in peace dad. We love you.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Nephi North Stake Center, 1125 North 400 East, Nephi, Utah. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the services. Interment, Vine Bluff Cemetery.
