William Jesse Holsten

William Jesse Holsten was born on September 1, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the early afternoon of February 3, 2017 William passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a sage advisor, comedian, peacemaker and the calm in every storm. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all who knew him. William met Alice Olsen, the love of his life in 1963 and would spend the next 54 years together. He worked as a produce man most of his life and never missed a day of work. He loved interacting with people and everyone adored interacting with him.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Karen, brothers: Gary and Danny Holsten, mother, Donna Foulger and father, Neldon 'Bus' Holsten. He is survived by wife Alice, sons: Russ Holsten, Kent Holsten (Patty) and Steven Ghering (Patty); daughter: Connie Tyler; brothers: Clark Mcfarlene (Betty), Randy Holsten (Debbie) and sister Lou Ann Holsten; 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank his IHC Hospice Caregivers: Brittany, Nubia and Bonnie. You were beyond angels to us.

A celebration of William's life will be held Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, from 2-4 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, Utah.
