William (Bill) Howard Moss, Sr. passed away on Sept. 1, 2015 at the Draper Nursing Care Center. Bill was born on July 10, 1935 to Howard Joseph Moss and Marguerite Grace Lafferty Moss in Rock Springs, WY. Dad was stricken with Polio at the age of 3 and was the only one to survive of many children from Rock Springs stricken with the disease. He dealt with the long lasting affects with a great attitude. Most of his years wearing a leg brace. He graduated at the age of 20 from South High School due to missing so much schooling with the Polio. He received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Bill excelled in all of his endeavors including a Private Detective, Pilot, Master Welder, and owner operator of Moss Drilling Inc. On retirement, Bill, Jr. continues the business today. His hobbies included boating, camping, hunting, guns, slot cars and CB radios where he met his sweetheart Darlene.
Bill is survived by children Bill Jr. (Jean) of Tooele, Marty (Roxie) of Sandy, Terry Lynn (Tom) Keller of Folsom, CA, Tom (Stacie) of Murray, UT, Liz Bolen of Dallas, TX, Katherine Austin of Salt Lake City, Chris Bolen of Salt Lake City, UT, 19 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife, Darlene A. Bolen Moss, daughter Terry Bolen.
Funeral services at Goff Mortuary 8090 S. State, Midvale, UT on Sept. 4th 11:00 AM. Viewing to be held one hour prior to service. Burial at Riverton City Cemetery.
