Wayne C Dahl, Draper, died peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 just 8 days short of his 80th birthday. He was born Sept. 20, 1937 in Murray, Utah to Conrad Soren and Reta Cundick Dahl. Raised in Midvale, he attended Union elementary and middle schools and graduated from Jordan High School in 1955.
Wayne married his high school sweetheart Patty Anne Parker on October 28, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four children. Wayne had an 18-year career as a journeyman glass glazier before becoming a letter carrier for the Sandy Post Office. An active member of the LDS Church, he held many callings but his favorite was ward financial clerk. He served as an ordinance worker in the Draper Temple for 5 years.
Wayne is survived by his wife Patty; children Curtis Dahl (Colleen); Michael Dahl (Nance); Colette Memmott (William); Andrew Dahl (Cynthia); and brothers Weston Dahl and Brent Dahl. He was preceded in death by siblings Lowell Dahl, Marilyn Hardcastle and Ila Dean Proctor.
The funeral will be Monday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. in the Draper 15th Ward, 13112 S. 700 E., Draper. Viewings will be held on Sunday, Sept. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 S. 700 E., Draper, and on Monday at the church one hour prior to services.
