On the evening of September 5, 2022, Wade passed away after fighting a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born March 9, 1962, to Roylance and Shirl Sundell. Raised in Sandy, Utah, Wade graduated from Jordan High School in 1980 and began working for his father, at American Drywall, before meeting his future wife, Diana, in 1983. Wade and Diana went on to have three children, children of whom became Wade’s reason for living through two lung transplants and fighting his lung disease for over ten years…well, the children and going fishing. And the Jazz.
And the Cowboys.
Wade is survived by Diana, his children Dañelle (Kristy), Ashlee, and Brandon Sundell. He is also survived by his siblings, Tammy (Randy) Lang, Jack, and Kelli Sundell. The family would like to send a special thanks to the University of Utah lung transplant team, Dr. Cahil and Dr. Ramen, for everything they have done to give Wade nine precious more years with his friends and family.
Per Wade’s request, a Visitation for his cremated remains will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., where family and friends may call Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 10 am-12 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at Wade's Garage, starting at 2:00 pm. Parking is limited, please plan to carpool.
