Loving mother and grandmother, Vonia Grace Brooks, 85, died Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Queen Creek, AZ.
Vonia was born Sept 7, 1930 in Hiawatha, Kansas to Adrian and Lottie Hall. She married Fay Eugene "Moe" Brooks on September 1, 1963 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Vonia worked for Browning Arms in Morgan, UT for many years and after retiring, she worked for the medical clinic in Coalville, UT. Vonia relocated to St. George, UT with her husband where she continued in the medical field as a home healthcare nurse and later as a nursing assistant and director at multiple assisted living residences. Vonia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was caring, genuine, sincere, and kind. Vonia was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed attending church meetings. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, knitting and crafting; and was a very talented seamstress.
She is survived by her four daughters: Trudy (Phillip) Geary of Coalville; Sandra (Lynn) Wright of Salt Lake City; Mitzie (Val) Meadows of Coalville; and Paige (Kelly) Mattice of Tempe, AZ; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fay Eugene Brooks, and her son, Paul.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Coalville City Cemetery. Information may be obtained from her grandson, Joshua, at 602-320-4121.
