Vicki (Victoria Ann Swenson) passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 13, 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a long battle with Dementia. She was born October 3, 1947 in Murray, Utah to Viv (Vivian Neils) and Virginia Victoria Robinson Swenson. She married Leon Dennis Carlson on February 12, 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Vicki enjoyed traveling, especially to Disneyland with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; springtime; Christmas; planning family camp outs; gardening; organizing; and keeping busy. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she held many church callings and served four missions for the church, alongside her husband, Leon. Vicki embraced every church calling given to her and served with her whole heart and soul. Vicki’s pride and joy were her family. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, especially playing with the babies and taking them shopping at DI or the dollar store instilling a love of thrifting in all her posterity.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Gary and Albert and her son Neil. She is survived by her sister Ruth (Jerry) Strong, her brother Robert (Marla) Swenson, children Jodi Campbell, Jackie (Steven) Wakefield, Dennis (Saunja Suman) Carlson, Stacey (James) Stanley, Steven (Emily Curtis) Carlson, twenty-three grandchildren Audree (John) Thomas, Natalee (Andy) Schrader, Chelsee Campbell, Kayelee (John) Terry, Zacharee Campbell, Matthew Campbell, Joshua (Kimberly) McNabb, Julie (Jeff) Andrews, Jordan (Hannah) McNabb, Jessica (Adam) Martin, Alyson (Michael) Wrigley, Hannah Wakefield, Brinton (Karen) Carlson, Liesl (Chris) Nielsen, Lauren Carlson, Dane Carlson, JR (Gabrielle) Stanley, Andy Stanley, Molly Stanley, Olivia Stanley, Anthony Carlson, Alexander Carlson, Addyson Carlson, twenty-five great grandchildren Murdoc Thomas; Maddox Campbell, Tucker Schrader; Tristan, Blakely and, Joel Terry; Aden Campbell; Arielle, Isabelle, Lilliana, Briella and Wendell McNabb; Christopher, Arya, Aaron, Cheyenne, Nathan, and Nolan Andrews; Eloise McNabb; Jaylynn, Jaydyn, and Landon Martin; Grant and Austin Carlson; and Aurora Nielsen.

Funeral Services will be held December 20, 2024 at 10:00 am in the Pioneer Ward on 220 East 8670 South, Sandy, Utah 84070. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be immediately after in the Valley View Cemetery on 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.

The family would like to thank the many healthcare workers who helped provide care for our mother especially those at The Auberge at Aspen Park and Ovation Hospice- your love for our mother was unconditional and we are eternally grateful to you for your service.
