Heavenly Father welcomed home the most kind, loving and giving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Vickie left our earthly arms and ran into her mother's arms, on November 27, 2019. She was born on June 3, 1955 and is the first child to Jaynes (Jay) Wilford Olson and Lola Mae Terry Olson.
Vickie graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1973 and continued her college education at Utah State University graduating with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. She started her teaching career at Willow Canyons Elementary where she taught grades K-1st, then ventured to Welby Elementary where she taught grades 1st - 2nd. She then retired after 40 years of teaching for the Jordan School District in 2018. She also served as a Core Education Teacher for the Utah Board of Education and would travel throughout the state teaching other teachers the importance of Core Education.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Vickie served in several capacities, teaching in Primary, Sunday School and in the Young Women's Programs. She also served as a valiant Visiting Teacher in the Relief Society.
Vickie loved her family with 100% of her heart. If you looked her in the eyes, you would see them twinkle with adoration as she spoke about her nieces and nephews, and then her great-nieces and great-nephews became an even larger sparkle in her eyes.
Vickie is survived by her loving father, Jay W. Olson, Sandy UT, her siblings that loved her with their whole heart; Cindy (Dean) Capson, West Jordan UT, Tracey Olson, West Jordan UT, Todd (Shontell) Olson, Herriman UT, and Leslie Olson, Sandy UT. Five Nephews, Seven Nieces, and 20 great-nieces and nephews that loved and adored her far more than she will ever know. Proceeded in death by her loving mother, who was there to greet her on the other side, Lola Mae Terry Olson as well as several aunts, uncles and other family members and friends.
