Vickie Lee VanOostendorp Newbold was born on October 28, 1954 to Peter and Marilyn VanOostendorp and left this earthly world on November 1, 2021.
Vickie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband David Newbold (married on August 4, 1972), her son Jason Newbold (Courtney), daughter Jill Whitehead, daughter Kellie Buck (David) and daughter Kassie Brock (Travis). Her most precious grandchildren, Kayla, Trevin, Kelton, Jaren, Addison, Keegan, Taelyn, Emma, Bella, Kenna, Paige, Kade, Jack, Chase and Ariana and great granddaughter Olivia May. Vickie was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as the Young Women's and Relief Society President, Stake Young Women's Presidency, Young Single adults leader and several other callings in the Primary. She loved her callings and those she served and served with.
Vickie was an amazing stay at home mother to her children for many years before she ran a KFC restaurant with her husband David where they met many of their "chicken kids," who became family. Vickie also enjoyed the years she worked in the school district as the Principal's Secretary and as a Teacher's Assistant; she loved all the children she worked with like they were her own. She had a passion for photography and has left us all with so many beautiful photos, full of wonderful memories. She was a kind and compassionate friend to everyone she knew, and many refer to Vickie as "their 2nd mom."
It goes without saying that Vickie was loved by all, and she will be missed, but never forgotten!
