Betty, 80, born in Taos, New Mexico and resident of Llano, New Mexico and Midvale, Utah passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family on November 11, 2016 after a short illness.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She worked for Abbott Inc. for numerous years and retired in 1992.
She was preceded in death by son George Gonzales; husband Patricio (Pat) Gonzales; grandson Arthur Gonzales Jr.; parents Minor and Elicia Griego; parent in-laws Adonay and Margarita Gonzales; brothers Raymundo Griego and wife Leonardita, Remigio Griego and wife Rufina; brothers in-law, Arnold, Jose and wife Mary and brother in-law Luciano; sister in-laws, Demetria G. Martinez and husband Manuel and Lila G. Padilla.
Her passion for her family was always first. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Wendover trips and watching EWTN programs.
Betty is survived by son Arthur (Lorraine) of Llano, New Mexico, daughter Kayleen and daughter in-law Valerie of Midvale, Utah, special cousin and brother in-law Frustso A Padilla of Midvale, Utah; sister In-law Rachel Fernandez (George) of Llano, New Mexico; brothers in-law, Moises Gonzales (Carol) of Leadville, Colorado; and Johnny Gonzales (Cleofas) of Midvale, Utah, sister in-law Diane Gonzales of West Valley, Utah, and sister in-law Anabel Gonzales of Midvale, Utah; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox St., Midvale, Utah. Friends may call at the same place on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m., with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be grandsons Manuel Tafoya, Pat Gonzales, Ronnie Manzanares, Clint Manzanares, Pablo Gonzales and great grandson Samuel Carter, honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters Randy, Alicia, Stacey, Kelly, Crystal and Tiffany.
The family thanks grandson Ronnie Manzanares and daughter in-law Valerie, Deanna and staff of Rocky Mountain for the kind caring of our Mother and support of the family.
