Turid Lipman

Turid Vatsvaag Lipman, age 78, passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 15, 2022. She was born on May 22, 1943 in Stavanger, Norway, to Johannes and Inga Vatsvåg. Turid was a beautiful young woman and found work as a fashion model in Norway at a young age. When she was just 17 years old, Turid enrolled in a foreign exchange program and moved to the United States where she first obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albertus Magnus College in Connecticut; then went on to study Philosophy at the University of Connecticut, ultimately earning a PhD. Turid was a very intelligent and cultured person who attracted friends and admirers wherever she went.  She was previously married to Art Lipman.

Turid lived all over the United States, but ultimately settled in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a very successful and accomplished Real Estate Agent. She became a very prominent agent in the Park City area. She made many life-long friends here in Utah and will be missed. Her social personality made her the life of any party. She also spent time volunteering and promoting charitable organizations that were very meaningful to her and her beliefs.

Turid had a love for travel, adventure, animals (cats in particular), and the finer things in life. She had a vast and unique collection of art, wonderful taste in food and wine, and a love of fashion that followed her throughout her entire life. She traveled all over the world and loved to reminisce about her many adventures abroad.

Turid will be laid to rest at City View Memoriam, 1001 E 11th Ave, Salt Lake City, Utah. Instead of a formal memorial service, Turid asked that her friends and loved ones remember her fondly and enjoy their own lives to the fullest. Arrangements are in the care of Goff Mortuary, Midvale Utah.
