Tressa Hernandez

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother Tressa "Tree" (Stella) Hernandez, 91, formerly of Sandy, UT passed away December 2, 2018 in Belton, MO.

Viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, December 13, 2018 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, UT. Funeral services will held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 14, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 9800 S. 1700 E., Sandy, UT. Following the funeral, burial will be at Veteran's Memorial Park, Bluffdale, UT.

Tressa was born on February 15, 1927 in Columbia, UT to John and Mary Stella. She attended and graduated from Carbon High School in Price, UT. After graduation Tressa worked for the US Steel Corporation as secretary to the Mine Superintendent.

Tressa was married to Jerome (Jerry) Hernandez on June 22, 1947 in Sunnyside, UT and lived there for 30 years. In 1977, Tressa, Jerry and children moved to Sandy, UT.

Tressa is survived by her sons Nathan Gerald Hernandez and Matthew Todd Hernandez (Irene); daughter Melanie Watson (Steve); brothers George Stella and Lawrence Stella (Dolly); sisters Rose Frazier and Polly Cullen (Don); eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews throughout the US.

Tressa was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, sister Mary, and parents John and Mary Stella, and her beloved grandcat, Peggy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the ASCPA.
