Trason "Hoss" Jackman, age 14, passed away August 22, 2020. He was born February 10, 2006 in Nephi, UT to Taw Jackman and Kerrie Slaymaker.
Hoss just started his freshman year at Juab High School. He spent his summers working with his dad doing construction. He was an exceptionally talented builder and concrete finisher. Hoss practically lived in the outdoors. He was a master hunter, trapper, and fisherman. He loved going on horse rides and could spot a shed horn from across any canyon. He enjoyed hanging out with his buddies until the sun came up. He worked hard, so he could play harder. His fearless soul allowed him to live his 14 years to the next level.
Hoss was very social, and everyone that encountered him loved him. He excelled in everything he did from operating heavy equipment like a pro, to doing things on a dirt bike that would make a grown man cry. The intelligence and common sense he had would have made you think he was three times his age. He could survive in the mountains or desert for weeks on his own. Hoss grew from a small boy to a strong man in a short amount of time. He could do anything he put his mind to and would help anyone. He was ambitious and had lots of plans and dreams for his future like traveling back to Oregon to go crabbing and becoming a power lineman.
Hoss loved hard and was loved by so many. He had a special relationship with his brothers and sisters, parents, family and friends. His passing has left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled. With all the lives he has touched, he will never be forgotten.
Good luck on your new journey, Hoss. We love you.
He is survived by his father, Taw (Lacey) Jackman; mother, Kerrie (Clay) Slaymaker; siblings, Kamaree, Neil, Cole, Karley, Ridger, Rylee and Rori. Preceded in death by his uncles, Tyrone Jackman and Kendall Neumann.
