Timothy Dallas Williams, age 25 both his mother and fathers favorite son and beloved brother and friend, died unexpectedly in his sleep Sunday, May 15, 2016. He was born June 25, 1990 in Sandy, Utah to Fred B. and Jayne Gross Williams and was the little brother of Sabrina Williams. He started school in Cottonwood Heights at Ridgecrest Elementary then moved with his family to Sandy where he attended Lone Peak Elementary, Indian Hills Middle School and Alta High. He was also close to completion of his Associates degree at Salt Lake Community College. Growing up Tim was often stuck with girls as playmates which must have been why he has so many friends. Even as a kid he could talk to adults or anyone in the room and could always find common ground and make you laugh. Tim was the spark that lit up a room in a gathering. Full of life and able to engage the group. This past Thanksgiving was the first without the whole family at the table and he managed to keep everyone entertained throughout the meal. Timmy studied guitar from the age of seven until he was fourteen. His father dealt with music memorabilia and he seemed to be naturally drawn to it. He loved to share his discoveries with others. He would say youve got to listen to this song or how do you like this performer? Whenever he got into the car with you he would take over the music often not letting one finish before he moved on to the next. When anyone needed something he put aside his needs and put others first. He went out of the way to be someone you could rely on. When his parents left town with his sister for ten days, even though he didnt have a car he took care of the cat and birds while commuting downtown to work. Our mountain side home from Trax was not an easy ride uphill on his bike especially after a late night at work. Recently a friend from the neighborhood needed some gas money. Tim met him at the station to give him $20.00. Never commenting on it to anyone, just a good deed done for a friend in need. Tim was excited for his recent trip to Maui to see his sister. He had been working out and getting a base tan so he would look his best. Anyone that knew Tim knew how easily he tanned and that he refused to wear sunscreen. But after a couple of days in the Hawaiian sun he had to relent and ask Sabrina to use hers. Tim began working while in high school first as a busser at The Mayan, then as a server at McGraths Fish House, Joannas Kitchen, Village Inn and Christophers Steakhouse where he excelled before joining his family at Maxwells East Coast Eatery. Tim started as a server then quickly became a manager. Most recently he was managing at their new restaurant Myrtle Rose in Park City. A celebration of Tims life will be held Tuesday, May 24th at 7:00 pm at Maxwells East Coast Eatery, 357 S. Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City. Valet parking is available (please tip) or there is a lot on the SW corner of 4th South and Main Street and the Trax Gallivan Plaza stop is nearby. We will have some scheduled speakers and song along with an open mic where you can share your stories about Tim with everyone. Please follow this link to RSVP to the evite
