Thressa Smith

Geralda Thressa Lindsay Franzoni Smith, 86, passed away on December 7, 2014 in Sandy, Utah. She was born on May 16, 1928 in Lovell, Wyoming to Edwin LeRoy and Geralda Teresia Wilhelmina Franzoni Lindsay. Thressa married Craig Neilson Smith on January 15, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various callings throughout her life. Thressa loved singing, dancing, reading, flowers, serving others, playing Scrabble, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. The Holiday Season was her favorite time of the year.

Survived by her children, Craig L. Smith, Jennifer S. Heap, David L. (May) Smith, Todd L. (Cristy) Smith, Lori S. (Jose) Blanco, Shauna Smith and Reed L. Smith; 21 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sisters, Dorcus Anderson, Dorothy (Gerald) Brinkerhoff and Grace Asay. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 grandchild, 2 great-grandchildren and 4 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Sandy 1st Ward, 8650 South 220 East, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
