Thomas Wayne Enniss

Thomas Wayne Enniss born Oct. 16, 1980 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Thomas James Enniss and Connie Wright passed away at the University of Utah Hospital after a long period of hard-fought health issues on Aug. 8, 2024 surrounded by family and friends.

Wayne followed in his father and grandfather’s footsteps by operating Enniss Automotive Service in Draper, Utah which was built by his grandfather in 1950. Wayne became a Master Mechanic and loved a challenge. There were many of these while running the family business after his father became ill.

A pinnacle in his life was when he was introduced to flying. This quickly became a “First Love” for him with the added knowledge that his grandfather flew a B-29 Bomber in WW11. He notably said, “A whole new world opens up in the sky”. Having gained his Pilots’ license with an instrument rating, Wayne enjoyed numerous experiences in the skies flying several types of airplanes.

 Wayne was gifted with a sharp mind. Everything he would read stayed with him. With the knowledge he gained he was able to find solutions to problems others would deem impossible.

Camping, rock climbing, repelling, fishing, hiking, outdoor grilling and cooking along with baseball were some of the things he enjoyed. But, most of all he loved spending quality time with friends and family creating lasting memories of laughter and fun with those he held dear.

Wayne was a helper to everyone. He was kind, generous and caring. He was honest in his business dealings and always treated others with respect. He will be remembered for his Big Hugs, loving heart, contagious humor and wit.

Preceded in death by his father Thomas James Enniss. Survived by his mother Connie Enniss and fiancé Tabitha West and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

A viewing will be held at Anderson and Goff Mortuary, 11859 S. 700 E. Draper, Utah 84020 on August 19, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Following the viewing a Graveside Service will be held at the Granite Cemetery, 2969 E. 9800 S. Granite, Utah 84092 at 11:00 a.m.
