Thomas Alan Becker

Dad was born to Florence & Charles Becker on October 16, 1946 at Kew Garden Hospital in Jamaica, New York. After a year, they bought a home and moved to Mineola, L.I., N.Y., where he grew up. He attended Corpus Christi R.C. School in Mineola and St. Mary's R.C. High School in Manhasset, N.Y. and onto Nassau Community College and Adelphi University in 2/14/1973. Dad was hired on by Delta Airlines at LaGuardia Airport, where he spent time in Cabin Services, Ramp Agent and Ticket Counter for 19 years. In May 1991, he married Mercedes Garcia. The following year on 1/20/1992, he transferred with Delta to Salt Lake City, where all of his time was spent working on The Ramp for another 18 years. Dad made many friends there and regrets not being able to see most of them since he retired in 2/1/2010. Dad loved hunting, camping (especially in the High Uintas and Yellowstone National Park) fishing, and taking road trips.

He will be eternally loved and missed by all, including his two sons, Timothy and Terence Becker; his step-daughter, Brianne Aviles and ex-wife, Mercedes Becker. He will live in our hearts forever.

Services will be held in New Hyde Park, New York and burial will be at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury on Long Island.
