Our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather passed away surrounded by family and loved ones after a long battle with diabetes and heart disease.
Tom was born and raised in Kahuku, HI. After High School he fought professional boxing to pay for his one year college tuition at BYU, Hawaii. He then moved to Utah to attend Nursing School. After a couple of years (done with Nursing) he wanted more excitement and enlisted in the Army, which took him to Germany where he got the job of his life (teaching self-defense). He toured Europe putting on exhibitions and entertaining the troops at the same time. In 1963, while in Germany, he married his wife Ingrid.
In 1964 he came back to the states, bringing his better half with her two suitcases. After a short time of job searching he landed a job at the Utah State Correctional Hospital where he worked until the mid 80's. He then moved on to the U of U Research Department from which he retired in 2003. Since that time Tom had a full time job trying to keep the TV running.
Tom is survived by his wife, Ingrid of 53 years; son, Tommy (Debbie); son, Steven; and granddaughter, Cheyenne.
He will be missed by many.
