Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Thelma Elaine Reid Kendall Roundy of Nephi, Utah, passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on February 6, 2018. She was born in Fayette, Utah, on March 19, 1916, to Henry A (Harry) and Sarah Ann (Sadie) Scott Reid. As a family, they moved to Park City, Utah, where Thelma finished the 4th grade. Then they moved to Nephi, Utah, where she played basketball and graduated from Juab High School in 1933. She married Rex Wilkey Kendall on October 14, 1933, and together they had 3 children. Rex passed away on January 5, 1958. On November 15, 1958, she married Merlin Roundy, and they lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Vancouver, Washington, before settling back in Nephi. Merlin passed away on September 3, 1985.

Thelma's life has always been about hard work and service. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings at both the Ward and Stake levels. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association for more than 20 years. She was awarded "Woman of the Year" for the Salt Lake Chapter. She held many positions in the ABWA, which included President of the Vancouver Chapter, twice. While serving as president, she was awarded the "Diamond Star" award from national headquarters. She also served on the Juab East Senior Citizens Council, Six County Council, and Juab Republican Party. Thelma enjoyed life to the fullest and had many talents, which included painting, cooking, and fashion.

Thelma is survived by her son Dale Reid (Bonnie) Kendall, daughter Vicki Ann (James) Thomas, both of Nephi, 9 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandson. She is preceded in death by her son Rex Terry (Chloe) Kendall, and a great-grandson J.C. Reed.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 12, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Nephi 1st Ward, 222 S 100 E. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Interment at the Nephi City Cemetery.

The family would like to express a heartfelt "thank you" to those who cared for her for many years, including Gloria Winkel, as well as Amberley Worwood and the staff of Victorian House in Levan.
