In Loving Memory of

"Big V"

Sweet Susan gained her angel wings on the evening of Saturday, April 17th, 2021. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by the immeasurable love of her family.

Susan was born in Murray, Utah on November 9th, 1956 to Glen Forest and Marjorie Perry Barton. She has 3 brothers and 3 sisters, Glen, Glenda, William, and Robert Barton; Ann Halstenrud; and Donna Susaeta.

Susan graduated from Jordan High School in 1975 and then worked at Hillcrest Care Center for 25 years where she poured her heart and soul into taking care of others.

She married the love of her life, Francisco Carreon Valenzuela on February 21, 1986 and he became her lifelong partner. He will continue his journey through life but longs for the day that they will be together again.

Susan devoted her life to raising her 4 children Shawn Barton, Carrie Hernandez (Hector), Francisca Valenzuela, and Maria Ramirez. She was promoted to grandma in 1999 and shared a special bond with each of her 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Kayla, Matthew, and Marcus Hernandez; Fernando and Elizabeth Nava; Natalia and Luis Ramirez.

Susan walked her journey through life with her best friend of several years, Fabiola. She shared so many memories of her adventures with Fabiola and loved her so much that she, and her family, were considered family.

She also had several other life long friends such as Betty Ray and Karen Rich, whom she always treasured.

Susan is preceded in death by her son Shawn, her mom and dad, and brothers William and Robert.

A special thanks to Brigette, Natalie, and Cassidy and all of the help from IHC hospice.

Funeral services will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State St. in Midvale on Friday, April 23, at 12:00 pm with a viewing 1 hour prior.

Interment Sandy City Cemetery.
