Susan Joyce Nokes Nichols

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Susan "Susie" Joyce Nokes Nichols, born on August 18, 1975, who left us on March 28, 2025, due to breast cancer. Susie was a devoted partner to Dan Sanseri, and together they created a life full of love, happiness, and countless cherished memories. Susie often spoke about how amazing Dan was as a partner and how deeply grateful she was for the care and love he gave her every day. Susie was known for her striking beauty, with red hair and big green eyes. She had a warm and gentle nature, and her soothing, sweet voice made everyone around her feel at ease. She always offered kind words and a smile, leaving a positive impact on all those who met her.

Susie often gushed about her cats, Poppy and Millie, who brought her much happiness and companionship. Along with her partner, Dan, she adopted over 14 cats and fed countless others, showing love and care to many feline friends. Her fur babies will miss her deeply. As the youngest of seven siblings, Susie was dearly loved by Carol, Vickie (Jerry), Hollie (Jimmy), Margie, John (Retta), and Denny (Kathy). Her siblings will forever remember her for the joy and laughter she brought into their lives. She was also deeply cherished by her many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Carol Joyce Nokes, and father, Dennis Evan Nokes, who loved and doted on her in life. She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Richard Steven Linnarz and Jerry Ray Linnarz, and her niece, Sarah Diane Blank.

Susie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew her. She touched many lives with her kindness, and her spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of life for Susie will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, UT.
