Susan Rae Heath

Susan was born in Price, Utah. She was born to Jesse Heath and Jean Hansen Heath. She grew up in Utah. In 1970, she married Gary Lancaster and together they had three children, Dennis, Connie and Aimee. They later divorced. In 1989, she gave birth to her youngest child Robert.

Susan had many artistic talents. She loved to paint with oils, crochet, paint ceramics, polish stones, and make beautiful jewelry out of very tiny beads. She loved being outdoors, particularly fishing and arrowhead hunting. She had a great love of horses.

Susan passed away peacefully at the University of Utah Medical Center, after a sudden illness, with her daughter Connie by her side.

She is survived by her daughter Connie (Bill) and her son Robert Bloomer, son-in-law Shaun Kyle, 8 grandchildren, Tyler, Christophor (Amanda), Brad, Kevin, Kyrie Ann, Sasha, Connor and Sam, 4 great-grandchildren, and her brother Terry. She is also survived by her dear aunts, Iona, Delma, Ada and Ilene, whom she grew up with. She is preceded in death by two of her children, Dennis and Aimee, as well as her parents, Jesse and Jean, and her sister Diane and niece Vickie.

Talking about her grandchildren always brought a smile to her face and she was always interested in what and how they were doing. She loved looking through photos and reminiscing of her family and friends.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all of the dedicated staff members at the University of Utah Medical Center, as well as the North Eastern Regional Hospital in Elko, Nevada for the excellent care that they provided for Susan throughout her stay. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the flight team and the Gold Cross team for their part in her care during the transfer process.

A viewing will be held in her honor at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St. in Midvale from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to a graveside service at the Sandy City Cemetery, 700 E. 9000 S. at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, October 26.

In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with funeral expenses can be made to any Mountain America Credit Union branch in the name of Susan Heath Donation Trust.
