Steven Jacobs Timothy (79) passed away peacefully in his home in Sandy, Utah on May 13, 2020. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born at a very early age on December 11, 1940 in Price, Utah to Elmer and Delsa (Jacobs) Timothy. He was the fifth of seven children.
He graduated from Sugar City High School, and served in the Army prior to serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the Western Canada Mission.
He graduated from Rick's College and completed his master's in Industrial Arts from BYU in Provo, Utah.
He married the love of his life, Karen Kellersberger on June 4, 1965 in the Idaho Falls Temple. His proudest life's achievement was his children and grandchildren.
Other achievements he was rather fond of, a teaching career that lasted 45 years, teaching students in Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado.
Other accomplishments (that always put a smile on his face), Eagle Scout, Silver Beaver, being a published author, Wyoming Outstanding Teacher of the Year, President of the Wyoming Vocational Association, and his multiple consecutive wins for Most Popular Teacher while teaching in Star Valley, Wyoming.
He was very proud of his faith, and served his church in multiple capacities, including Sunday School teacher, Scout Master, Bishopric Counselor, Sunday School Presidency, and his weekly temple work.
He is preceded in death by siblings Gilbert (Nancy), Carol Ard (Dee), Loa Deane Sorensen (Bill), Paul (Diane). He is survived by wife, Karen, and children, David (Laurie), Michael (Anna), Richard (Angella), Jennifer Brown (Spencer), Stephanie Gillham (Michael), Anson Call (Christina), and fifteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
He will be interred at the Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery in Sandy, Utah.
He will be deeply missed, and joyously celebrated by his family and loved ones.
