Steven A. Pazell

“Doc”

Our beloved Steven Pazell passed away on April 27, 2023. He was born June 11, 1954 in Midvale, Utah to Steve and Magdalen (Mello) Pazell. Steven graduated from Hillcrest High School. He worked many years at Kennecott Copper Mine as a brakeman.

Steven had a big heart—friendly, loving, and fun. He always wanted to help anyone in need in anyway he could. Even in death he gave the gift of his organs as a donor. Throughout his life, he was a companion and caretaker to many beloved pets who adored him.

Preceded in death by his parents. Steven is survived by his soulmate and love of his life, Donna Leavitt; her daughters, Kristen (Pete Hoffman) Cooper and Kadee Cooper; special “grand-daughter” Maycee; his sister and brother-in-law Louise and Cade Monroe; brother and sister-in-law Andy and Niki Pazell; nieces and nephews Andrea (Renn) Butterfield, Stephanie (Carnell) Monroe, Alexa, and Nickolas Pazell.

We will miss Steven greatly—especially his engaging smile and easy way about him. We love him so much.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 13 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Preston Place, 2673 Preston St. (1930 East) in Salt Lake City.
