Our beloved son and brother, Steven Clifford Maynard (Stub), returned to his Heavenly Father on July 27, 2018.
The long-awaited baby boy was born on November 21, 1978 to Christine Winn Maynard and Steven Clifford Maynard Sr. Since his birth, he has always been the twinkle in all his sisters' eyes. Being the only boy raised among five sisters didn't hinder his rough and tough personality and sense of humor. As a young boy he often thought he was a super hero, learning to fly like Superman off furniture and gaining a few scars along the way. He loved fishing and hunting with his dad, uncles, and cousins. He was also a very gentle and loving soul. He always tried to be the glue to hold people together, keeping his tears hidden until he was alone. Instead, he was always there to offer a beautiful smile and often an inappropriate joke. He blessed everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Tracie Todd (Bub), and grandparents Charles Elwin Winn, Thomas and Wanda Reese, and Clifford Maynard. He is survived by his mother and father, grandmother Betty May Winn; sisters Karen, Tammy (Duncan), Stephani (Shane), and Rebecca (Bryce); brother Troy Dominguez; and numerous nieces and nephews, who he absolutely adored, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by a very special aunt who was more like a second mother, Arvalee (Leefus) Lund.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2, at 11 a.m. at the Camelot Park Ward, 7255 South 2200 West. There will be a viewing Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., and again Thursday at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
We will see you again in the glory of our Lord.
