Steven Dennis Henry

Steven Dennis Henry fell asleep in the Lord on at 9:11 AM, on August 6th, 2021 in American Fork, Utah after a courageous thirty-three year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Steven is survived by his former wife and dear friend Cynthia Henry; two daughters Angela Allmon and Natalie Moore; grandchildren Olivia, Jack, Mary Vivian and Victoria; mother Fay Stevens, brothers Richard Henry (Debra), Kenneth Henry; sister Patricia Hewitt (John), sister-in-law Cathy Brown and Lisa Henry; loving nieces Amber Von Pertz and Amanda Stevenson (Brian); and numerous other nieces and nephews. Steven was predeceased by his father Vernon Henry and brother David Henry. Loved by special friends Mark Schutzius, Gail Arrasmith, Nick Lee (who shared his love of music) and favorite hospice nurse Brooklyn Barnes.

Steven was a dynamic, charismatic, intelligent, handsome, and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Steven's youth was spent in California, having been born in Oxnard and raised in Yucca Valley. Steven served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, earned a Bachelor's Degree from Stanislaus University, and retired from the Federal Fire Service after serving many years and culminating his life's work as Assistant Fire Chief. Steven was well travelled; he lived abroad in Germany, Bermuda and Japan and visited many other countries. Steven was an eloquent speaker, writer and was a great lover of music and nature. Steven reposed peacefully surrounded by his loving daughters and grandchildren who venerated him during a three day vigil at his side. Steven's struggle is over; his work is accomplished. In the Uncreated Light and Love of Christ--Steven is at peace. O Lord of unutterable Love, remember Thy servant who has fallen asleep. Eternal Memory.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at 10:00 AM, at Wiefels and Sons Funeral Home, Yucca Valley, CA, followed by interment at Joshua Tree Memorial Park.
