Steve Johnson

Steve Johnson, 86 of Fountain Green, born, raised and lived a content life in his hometown. Born and passed away on the same day, April 5th. Steve was born in 1939 to DeVere M. and Geraldine Allred Johnson, the oldest of their three children. He grew up farming and milking the cows on the family farm.

One of his true loves in life was anything outdoors; going to the Mountain’s, camping, hunting deer, pheasants, and fishing.

Steve graduated as a member of the last graduating class of Moroni High school, he also attended 1 year of college @ Snow college in Ephraim for Veterinary services. While in high school he participated in many plays, taking lead roles in them. He loved to sing. Singing in plays, to the cows, in the shower, in the ward choir, and at many friends' funerals. He also loved to sing at our family reunions and enjoyed visiting with all relatives.

Steve found love and married Donna Lee Hill. Donna’s parents passed away leaving her siblings (Mike, Drew, Bruce & Nancy) without parents. Steve and Donna took those kids in so the family didn’t get seperated. They then raised 5 of their own, Dave (Teresa), Dee (Royann), Mary (George) Shedd, Katie (Kent) Allan, Clarice (Joe) Wayman. Steve and Donna divorced. Their posterity consists of 17 grandchildren and 23 great grands and 3 great, great grands, which he adored dearly.

Steve later found and married his eternal companion, Kathleen Steele. They were sealed in the Manti Temple for time and all eternity. Kathy had 3 daughters to add to the blended family, Cindy (Tyler) Johnson, Kimbery Taylor (Tim Orme), Carrie (Lee) Dziabczenko, adding 14 grandchildren and 9 great grands.

Steve is survived by two siblings, Gayle Johnson and Greg ( Sandy) Johnson. Along with all of the children listed above.

Preceded in death by both parents, DeVere and Geraldine, a nephew Gregory Johnson, and a granddaughter, Jenie Lee Johnson.

Funeral services will be held in the Fountain Green Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing at Anderson Funeral Home (94 West 300 North Nephi, Utah) on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a viewing prior to the funeral on Friday morning starting at 10:00 am. Interment will be held at the Fountain Green Cemetery.
