Steve Nick Borovatz

Steve Nick Borovatz, 91, our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, peacefully passed away on December 9, 2015 at his home in Midvale, Utah. He was born on November 22, 1924 in Park City, Utah to Mate Borovac and Rose Ticac. Steve has been happily married to Dorothy Satovick for 61 years.

He honorably served as a pharmacist mate in the US Navy during WWII and treated wounded comrades during the D-Day invasion in France. Steve graduated from the University of Utah with a Master's Degree in Education. He taught school and was an elementary school Principal.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Stephen; granddaughter, Abbie (Bryan) Huddleston; great-granddaughter, Matilda Huddleston; sister, Lucy Zurlo; many nieces and nephews Preceded in death by his parents, Mate and Rose; sister, Katie; brother, Matt; sister-in-law, Lena; son, Jeffrey; grandson, Travis; stepfather, Vick Marinich; stepbrother, John Marinich.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox Street, Midvale, Utah. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. (Rosary at 7:30 p.m.) on Monday evening at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
