Stanley Louis Price, our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather passed away after a brief illness, peacefully and with dignity and determination in his home on Sunday, September 27, 2015. He passed with his family by his side and in his thoughts. Stan was born May 25, 1935 in Salt Lake City to Douglas Howard and Verola Diamond Price.

He served his country by joining the United States Army. He was a Military Police Officer stationed in Germany from 1954-1957. Upon his discharge from the Army he met and married the love of his life, Margaret Mardell Leavitt. Together they raised six children.

In 1970 Stan started Price Auto Sales and Service located in Sandy. His three sons joined the family business alongside their father and continue to run the business today. Stan served Sandy City as a Councilman and loved being a part of the positive changes in Sandy City. He was a 32nd degree member of Canyon #13 Masonic Lodge and was a Noble of El Kalah Shrine Temple.

Stan and Margaret purchased a second home in Mesquite, Nevada where they spent many good times with family and friends.

Stan is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Cindy (Mark) Thaxton, Tammy (Richey) Gillett, Doug (Tinamaria) Price, Wayne (Chris) Price, Stan Jr. (Heidi) Price. Stan and Margaret have 21 grandchildren and 28 great grand-children which are the love of their lives. Stan is also survived by his sisters, Betty Parry and Linda (Milt) Lytle. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Susan Baker; brothers, Don, Roger, Perry and Ed Price and sisters, Janette Price and Pam Weston.

Stan enjoyed visiting with friends old and new and loved a good family pool party. He always enjoyed a good joke or story and was willing to tell one in return. He and his cat had their daily doughnut and coffee and were always full of hell. Stan will be greatly loved and missed by many.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, September 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S State. A graveside service will be at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. Bengal Blvd on Thursday, October 1st at 11:00 a.m.
