On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, Stanley Arland Maynard passed away at the age of 78 in the presence of his loved ones. Born in Murray, Utah on January 23, 1941 to Arland Ulysses Maynard and June Finlayson. He married Peggy Alice Lublin, on February 15, 1962. They were married for 44 years, till she passed away in 2006. Stanley worked hard to support his family, working for Noland and Sons Construction for 44 years. In his spare time he liked growing his own tomatoes. All the grandkids loved sitting on Bumpa's lap eating his home grown tomatoes. He enjoyed family trips with the neighbors to the mountains for camping, hunting, and fishing. He especially loved his great-grandkids, and often said the joy they gave him helped him to stay with us even longer. Stanley will be lovingly remembered by his children, Stanley Maynard (Stephanie) and Patty Turley (Curtis), nine grandchildren, and soon to be seven great-grandchildren, also by his siblings Peggy Garn and David Maynard (Karen), sisters-in-law Kay McNally and Linda Rains (Paul), brother-in-law Gary Pederson (Debbie), along with several nieces and nephews. Stanley was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Peggy, his parents, his brother Rick Maynard, and grandson Spencer Turley, also by his in laws, Roy Garn, Bob McNally, and Thom and Barbara Clark.
Services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. and the funeral at 11 a.m. at the Midvale 3rd Ward building, 7825 S. Olympus Street in Midvale, Utah. There will also be a viewing at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St. (Midvale) February 8th from 6-8 pm.
