Shirley Mae Spivey

Shirley Mae Fullmer Spivey, age 91, died at home April 24, 2018.  She was born Feb. 6, 1927 in Abraham, Utah to William and Leona Sampson Fullmer.  She married Billie Allen Spivey May 2, 1947.  They had four children; Mike, Karl, Dave and Kathy.

Mrs. Spivey is survived by sons; Mike (Bonnie), Karl (Pam), daughter Kathy Diamanti (Jim); sisters Barbara Gardner, Donna Hamilton and Phyllis McElhaney and brothers; Don (Arnola), Robert (Shirley) and David.

Mother was fiercely independent, strong willed, and determined.  She lived life exactly like she wanted.  She loved to camp, and took pleasure in the quiet, the scenery and the wildlife.  She loved sitting at the lake at Scofield.  She also loved making and sharing her quilts.  If you knew her; you probably have a quilt.  Mom was always an avid reader, and later enjoyed listening to books on tape as she quilted.  She knew something about everything, and had the vocabulary to match it.  She loved her castor bean plants and couldn't wait each year to plant them.  She truly enjoyed our family get-togethers.  They were usually in nature somewhere, where she loved a campfire.  She had a connection and bond with each one of her grandchildren.  She loved and appreciated her doting neighbors.

She left an impact on everyone she encountered.

She did it her way.  May Mother Rest in Peace

We are granting her wishes for cremation and no services.
