Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on November 24, 2015. She was born on February 26, 1930 in Heber City, Utah to Robert and Hellace Horrocks. She married her sweetheart Orville Ostler on September 29, 1947 in the Salt Lake City Temple. She was a wonderful wife and mother and dedicated her life to raising her 8 children. She grew up on a farm and knew how to work hard. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. Music and dancing were very important in her life and she passed on this passion to her children and grandchildren. She loved being in nature and found joy in camping with her family. She was an excellent seamstress and had an enthusiasm for making handmade presents for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a love for the gospel and held many callings.

Shirley is survived by her sister, Conna (Cleston) and brother, Robert (Pat) and 8 children, Lynn (Clare), Denise, Debra, Brent (Teresa), Robert (Dawn), David, Kevin (Linda) and Lori (Gary), her 23 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Orville, parents, Robert and Hellace, sisters, Joanne and Sherry, brother, Gerald and grandson, Paul.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 1 at 1:00 p.m. at the Midvale 13th Ward, 8825 S. 150 W., Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held on Monday, November 30 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah and 1 hour prior to the services, at the church. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
