Shirley Yvonne Mills

Shirley Yvonne Mills, 86, passed away of natural causes surrounded by family on June 10th, 2020.  Shirley is survived by her daughters Debra Bridges, Karen Goodin, Jeanette Hurst, Beth Bergloff and Pamela Richards, sons, Bruce Mills, David Mills and Robert Mills. Shirley has 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She loved, all of her children and her beloved schnauzer, Maxie whom she is now reunited with along with many beloved family members and friends.

Out of high school, Shirley became a secretary and found employment at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. She met her husband Keith Mills while working at the Pentagon, Keith was a Chief in the Navy. They married and went on to live a military life and raise their family. Shirley and Keith traveled and lived throughout the country, coast to coast and eventually called Salt Lake City, Utah their final home.

Shirley loved gardening and being surrounded by her flowers. She grew up a farmer's daughter in Maryland, so she naturally inherited a talent for gardening, just like her mother Francis. As Shirley grew older, she enjoyed being involved with the people she lived next to in her Senior community. She was always involved in helping with their special events and Holiday parties. Her favorite was dressing for Halloween.

Services will be held for family and close friends June 18, 2020, 10:30 AM at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, Utah 84020.  Graveside services will be held at noon at the Veterans cemetery at Camp Williams.
