Shirley Ann Marshall (72) of Salt Lake City, passed away on December 5, 2015 in West Jordan, Utah.
Shirley was born in Salt Lake City to Herbert Hughes and Frieda (Pieper) Noorda in October 1943. She worked as a housekeeper/lab technician for the University of Utah Hospital for 25 years. She retired at age 65 and was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease shortly after. She lived with Warren (son) and Melinda (daughter-in-law) until she moved into the Copper Ridge Health Care where she lived until her passing. She loved watching the horses in the field outside her window and watching good old western movies.
Shirley is preceded in death by her mother (Frieda Pieper), father (Herbert Hughes), step-father (John Noorda), brothers (Ken Hughes and Thomas Noorda), and sister (Jan Noorda).
Shirley is survived by her sons, Warren (Melinda) Marshall and Jeremy Hughes. She is also survived by her brothers Gene Noorda and Gary Noorda; sister Linda (Gary) Hastings; and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Utah Neurology Department (Alzheimer Research).

The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, January 9, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pioneer Hall, 1137 West 7800 South, West Jordan, Utah.
