Shirley Luann Krueger

Shirley Luann Krueger passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Shirley was born November 26, 1938 in Stoughton, WI to Preston and Stella Erdahl. Shirley was one of 10 children. She was raised on a dairy farm and learned to work hard at a young age.

Shirley married John Lee Krueger on November 30, 1957 in Madison, WI. John and Shirley were adventurous and moved frequently when their five children were young. They settled in St. George, Utah until 1976 when they moved to Laramie, WY and then Salt Lake City, UT.

Shirley worked hard her entire life. She worked for many years at Becton Dickinson until her husband became ill. Once he passed away, she worked for almost 20 years at Diamond Concessions and loved her job. Her work life revolved around the revelry of hockey games, concerts, and state fairs!

Shirley is survived by one son, Dan (Jacque) Krueger; three daughters, Terri (Pat) Robins, Barbara (Dan) Maloy, and June Phillips; sister, Marilyn (Allen) Fahrney; brother, Kenneth (Bobbi) Erdahl; three sisters-in-law, Loretta Erdahl, Shirley Erdahl, and Billie Erdahl; two brothers-in-law, Don Cripps and Jerry Majors; and many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. She cherished her 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was very talented at making baby afghans and proudly made an afghan for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren - including the youngest born a few months ago.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Scofield, Utah Cemetery on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Noon.

Her family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Villa. Mom will be very missed but we are happy she is finally pain free.
