Sheril was born on March 7, 1933 to Rulon J. Shepherd and Ella Lucille Pierce Shepherd in Levan, Utah. Sheril graduated from B.Y. High in Provo, Utah and lived in Orem, Ogden, Roy and following retirement returned to Levan. He married Quma Sharlene Bosh on September 15, 1952, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
Together they raised 3 children, Debra (Neil) Schultz, Randy (Steffnie) Shepherd, Dean (Sherie) Shepherd.
Dad began his career with the US Government at Hill Air Force Base working on radio and radar systems and completed his career as a government quality inspector at Thiokol in Northern Utah. Dad also served as a long-time volunteer firefighter with Roy City. During retirement Dad spent a lot of his time farming in Levan and spending time at the store having drinks with his buddies.
