Sharon Denise Valdez

Sharon died peacefully in her sleep on September 15, 2016. She is the daughter of Rueben and Patricia Davis. Married to Dennis Valdez.

Sharon met the love of her life on a blind date at Midas Muffler, so romantic! Dennis proposed to her at the mall, and on March 1, 2016 they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Dennis deeply loved his wife and depended heavily on her, and she, lovingly took care of him. He will miss her for so many reasons.

Sharon was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in her words, "I love the Gospel." She was originally from Southern California, but grew up in Midvale, Utah. She loved animals, adopting stray cats, much to the dismay of her husband. She loved to sing and sang in several choirs with her church and at family karaoke parties. She enjoyed dancing, dragging Dennis out to the dance floor whether he wanted to or not. Many times being the only couple dancing. She was not shy about getting up and learning a new line dance and kept at it until she got it.

Her job showed her compassion for her fellow man by encompassing her excellent care of her clients, who are heartbroken and have stated they will miss her greatly. Sharon showed great determination when she wanted to achieve something and never gave up. We could all learn a lesson from her, to not give up, no matter how hard or how often you get disappointed.

Sharon enjoyed being with family and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by both her parents. She is survived by an extended family, which includes, sisters, nieces, nephews, friends and in-laws.

Sharon rest in peace, you will be missed and never forgotten.
