Sharon Flarence (Keysor) Bissell, 79 Years old, resident of Clearfield, UT died in her home of natural causes on 06/28/2019. Born to W. Cloris and Rhea Nelson Keysor of Salt Lake City, Utah on July 19, 1939. She graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, UT and worked in the LDS Hospital for 15 years. Sharon was in the last group of Latter-day Saint Sister Missionaries to serve a two year mission in South Central States mission serving mostly in Oklahoma. She married Paul Bissell on August 31, 1976, becoming a proud Air Force wife, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She loved being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren, nothing was more important to her then being surrounded by her family. She was proud of her Welsh heritage stressing that her middle name was Flarence with an a not an o. Sharon loved being a mom, hosting baking days with her kids and their friends, throwing parties and playing games. But even more she loved reading with her grandchildren and playing hand and foot with family and friends. She enjoyed finding ways to serve in her community; in Boy Scouts of America, in PTA, at This is the Place Heritage Park, and especially as part of the sesquicentennial wagon train. Born with opticatraphy, Sharon found ways to overcome with humor, Paul relied on her to navigate their cross country trips. Sharon strived to welcome people as they were.
Survived by her husband Paul Bissell, their sons Chris (Rebecca), Grant (Annette), Clint (Jolene), and their daughter Danielle (Brian) LaFontaine, 10 grandchildren including 2 grandsons-in-law Kayann (Kameron) Nelson, Bethanne (Caleb) Jackson, Daylin, Alezandra, Arissa, Catrina, Chloe, Teralynn Bissell, Emillie and Zach LaFontaine, her brothers Bruce (Wilda) Keysor and David Keysor.
Preceded in death by her Mother on 25 February 1990, and her Father on 18 September 2002. Whenever anyone walked out her door you could count on her telling them to “Be Safe.” A celebration of her life will be held at the Syracuse 10th Ward 1469 West 700 South Syracuse, on her 80th birthday July 19, 2019 at 10:00 am. Her remains will be taken to the Utah Veterans Cemetery, 17111 1700 West Bluffdale, Utah at a later date.
