Sharon Janell Bird Hemsley passed away Tuesday, January 5th after complications from a fall.

Sharon was born in Rexburg, Idaho to Roylance and Agnes Bird on May 25, 1935.

Sharon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Sharon married Ellis Hemsley  on March 19, 1954 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They later divorced.

They had three beautiful children together: Debbie Stephens, Lehi, Utah, Kevin Hemsley, Rigby, Idaho and Steven Hemsley, West Jordan, Utah.

One of her favorite callings was working in the church library.

She attended the temple weekly.

Sharon attended Ricks college after graduating from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho.

She lived most of her life in Idaho Falls until the last few years when she moved in with her daughter in Lehi, Utah.

She loved Genealogy and spent countless hours for many years working on a hobby she loved.

Sharon retired from Key Bank in Idaho Falls as a bookkeeper.

Sharon and her sister were very close. And one of the highlights of her life was a surprise trip to Hawaii that Janine took her on. She never forgot how wonderful that vacation was.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers Cornell Bird and Ronald Bird, and sister, Janine Cassidy.

Sharon has 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren that are going to really miss her sweet spirit!

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wilford, Idaho Cemetery, 2540 East 225 North Road, St. Anthony, Idaho 83445.
