Sei Otani, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, passed away Aug. 31, 2016. Born to Tom and Masami Tadehara, 94 years ago in Murray, Utah, she was the fourth of nine children. Sei made her home in Carbon County where she raised her family and created wonderful memories for everyone she encountered. A kinder heart or more gracious hostess would be hard to find; no one left her house hungry or in need. Mom loved fishing, slot machines and bowling. She read the paper every day and would inquire your thoughts on the smallest of articles... much to her dismay, she was always more informed than the rest of us. We will "always know."
Survived by daughter, Bonnie Aramaki; sons, Kay Otani, Randy Otani and Kenji Otani; daughter-in-law, Becky Aramaki; grandchildren, Derek (Miki), Kelli, Kamren and Kelcy; great-grandchildren Heather and SJ; brother, Itsuo Tadehara; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Otani; son, Jack Aramaki (Punky); daughter-in-law, Kelly Otani; brothers, Takeo, George, Yukiyei, Tats and Bill Tadehara; sisters, Midori Yamaguchi and Masaye Doi.
Services will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., with the service at 12 Noon.
