Scott Edward Hawker was born on May 10, 1973 to mother Margena Hawker, sister Wendy and brother Terry. He was innovative, intelligent, hardworking, ambitious and successful even from a very young age. He was always surrounded as a kid by friends, and was always hatching plenty of clever plans to get rich and make it big somehow.
Scott graduated from Olympus High in Salt Lake City in 1991. He served an LDS mission from 1992 to 1994 in Santa Rosa, California, and was a leader out in the field serving the Lord. When he returned home he received his Associate's Degree from LDS Business College, and worked multiple jobs to help pay for his schooling and a car. He also came into an opportunity to start working in real estate. In the several years proceeding that, when he worked at Alpine Homes, he quickly moved up and always improved the company.
He was most recently working at Castle Creek Homes as a real estate agent, and was a co-owner of Peak Homes. He also had an investment company, and had just co-created Silver Creek Custom Homes with some business partners. He was first and foremost an innovator and smart business man.
Scott loved all things outdoors; he hiked, motor-biked and rode ATVs, snowmobiled, snow-shoed, skied, water-skied, and he loved boating and loved camping, which he often did in his motorhome. He loved to be outdoors and to be active, and took lots of motorcycle trips across the country. He liked going with his best friend Yvonne, and with Tuck and Coop to the mountains to hike and camp. He also liked to go skiing and snowboarding with his nephews. The mountains were a love of his. But most of all, he LOVED his dogs. Cheyenne, Cooper and Tucker were beloved friends, and like his children. His dogs went most places with him, and he adored them.
He also enjoyed working out, traveling, watching movies, listening to music, playing with his gadgets and toys, and being with family and friends.
He was a creative home designer, a world traveler, a sassy uncle, a caring brother, a loving son, a loyal friend, a kind stranger to everyone.
He is survived by his mother, Margena, his older sister Wendy and brother-in-law Kevin, older brother Terry and sister-in-law Colleen, niece Mandy (nephew-in-law Matt), and nephews Michael, Patrick, Taylor and Conner, his best friend Yvonne, and his dog-sons Cooper and Tucker. He is preceded in death by his grandparents DeMarr and Regena Brower and his beloved Cheyenne.
A memorial service will be held to honor Scott's life at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, Utah.
