Scott Ryan Griffiths, son of Karen (Robinson) and J. Kent Griffiths, ended his battle with depression on Sept. 16, 2017.
He was born in Provo, Utah and was a resident of the Salt Lake valley for most of his 45 years. He graduated from Brighton High School and BYU (with a B.S. in Zoology), and served an LDS mission to Salta, Argentina. Scott was a Medical Technologist at ARUP for 20 years, where he was valued as a mentor and friend.
Scott had a gifted mind. He could answer any inquiry and understand complex issues. He was the go-to guy at work and with family.
Here's the best part - Scott was a fabulous listener. He was very validating, kind, and generous. He was ever so helpful and also tender of heart. We will always remember him for his big smile and quick wit. Scott found joy in playing with his nieces and nephews and teaching them about the wonders of nature. They all adored him. His dog Tank was a loyal companion who brought unconditional love, affection and comfort into his life.
His search was to know the mysteries of the universe, but his challenge was to find peace in his own mind and heart.
Survived by parents Kent & Karen, siblings Tricia Price (McKay), Nancy Ayre (John), Brian Griffiths (Laura Ethington) and Julie Nelson (Steve) and nieces & nephews: Cameron, Jessica, Thomas, Abbey, Nelson, Davis, Brooks, Chandler, London, Chapman, Deanna, Elias, Lucy, Maxwell and Annie.
We love you Scotters and look forward to our reunion in heaven!
