Sarah Smith

Our beloved Sarah Marie Witman Smith went to meet her father in heaven on September 29th, 2019.

She was born to Wynn R. Witman and Carolyn B. Watson in Salt Lake City. She spent most of her life in Utah where she was very successful in the financial and insurance fields. Her two children Bryce and Cassia were the light of her life, and her reason for being. Knowing her, she will keep a loving watchful eye on them from above. Live your best lives, Mom will be near you, always. She married the love of her life, Steve Smith, from Baker, Louisiana, on March 1, 2008 at a beautiful ceremony at La Caille in Cottonwood, UT. Deciding they wanted to spend time near the ocean, they eventually moved to Arroyo Grande, California, where they enjoyed the sand and the waves, the ocean breeze, and the fresh sushi, together. Among the angels, she will be welcomed into the arms of her grandparents, Jasper and Evelyn Motes. Those she leaves behind will sorely miss her.

She is survived by her love, Steve Smith, her wonderful children and step children, Bryce Roberts, Cassia Bunker, Chris Smith, Corey Smith, Brandy Smith Bonnette, Marianne Smith Thillman, Katelyn Smith and Graham Smith, her mother, Carolyn Motes Watson and Dave Watson, her father, Wynn Randall Witman and Maryellen Witman, her brothers, Aaron Witman, Skyler Witman, Ammaron Witman, and sister, Ariel Green. She will be missed by countless others, half siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and an enormous number of dear friends.

Sarah was and is a beautiful, intelligent, loving soul. Deservedly so, she was the life of the party and center of attention everywhere she went. People were drawn to her kindness, sweet spirit, her beauty, and more than her fair share of spunk. Nobody could ask for a better mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, or friend. Her smile, and the twinkle in her eyes, could light up a room. Our world is a bit less bright without that light, but the heavens will shine all the brighter for it.

We will love you forever and ever Sarah.

A viewing will be held at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 S. 700 E., Draper, UT, 84020 on Oct. 11th from 6 pm till 8 pm. There will be a short viewing from 9:30 am to 10:30 am Saturday, Oct. 12th, followed by a service from 10:30 to 11:30 am. No graveside service.
