Sandra (Sandy) Crossgrove Packer Kunz, 62, passed away May 10, 2015, in Draper, Utah. Sandy was born February 13, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Richard Hansen Packer and Gae Crossgrove. She married Lyle Everett Kunz December 16, 1971, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Those who happened into Sandy's life were welcomed with open arms. She was everyone's Aunt Sandy and Grandma Sandy to all of her grandchildren's friends. Sandy was a proud third generation graduate of Jordan High School, class of 1971, where she first went on her first date with her sweetheart Lyle at Sweetheart's Ball 1969.
She received great joy in giving service to others. Beginning with her 30th wedding anniversary, she made receiving blankets for each year she was married, to donate to Primary Children's Newborn ICU, donating over 400 blankets over 10 years and even more were made and given to friends and family. Many have been recipients of her beautiful holiday wreaths. Sandy also shared her talent for making beautiful blessing gowns with many friends, family members and acquaintances. Everywhere Sandy went; she made friends and made it a point to know their stories and to remember them.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Babysitting them and attending their events were her happiest times. They always knew where Grandma Sandy was sitting, even without seeing her. She really knew her grandchildren, knowing the best books to get, most in-style clothes to get them, and toys that appealed to her teenaged granddaughters and grandsons, as well as the little ones.
If Mom and Dad say no, go ask Aunt Sandy... 5 more minutes! Just 5 more minutes!
