"Have Faith in Me"

Samantha Markie Sanchez was born July 20, 1995 to Marc Sanchez and Wendy Sanchez (Haacke). Samantha passed away August 31, 2018 at the age of 23 due to a tragic car accident alongside Paul Durocher.

Samantha grew up in West Valley City and was able to attend Hunter Elementary, Kennedy Jr. High, and graduated from Hunter High School in 2013. She had many different interests over the years but art was always at the forefront. Her outgoing personality brought joy to many and her laughter would set her apart in a room full of people. She loved being around friends, family, and animals. Samantha fell in love with any animal she came into contact with.

Samantha worked in many different job fields in search of her passion. She worked in the medical field as a receptionist and a phlebotomist. Samantha also worked for 911 dispatch for a few years, where she enjoyed working alongside first responders and aiding in emergency response. She finally found her stride at Prohibition as a hostess, where she was able to dress up with fellow coworkers and let her personality shine.

She will be missed dearly amongst those who knew her. Samantha is survived by her parents Marc and Wendy, siblings Shawn (Kristina), Christopher (Stephanie) and Olivia, grandparents Calvin and Gayle, George and Amy, Barbara, Lowell, Cheryl, and all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 616 W. Gardenia Dr. (8170 S.), Midvale, Utah 84047 on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 6-8 pm. The public is welcome to the celebration of life.
