Our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Ryan Christopher Cox, passed away peacefully of heart failure on December 6, 2018, in Anchorage, Alaska. Ryan was born January 14, 1976, to Stephen Tony Cox and Cheryl Jane Munn in Provo, Utah but was raised in Sandy, Utah. At age seventeen he moved to Alaska where he accomplished his goal to become a crab fisherman. Later he owned a successful commercial window washing business in Anchorage. Ryan loved snowboarding, salmon fishing, and music.
He is survived by his parents Tony and Fonda Cox and Cheryl and Tom Quinn as well as seven brothers and sisters: Kimberly Lang (Max), Jennifer Pickett (Bruce), Jeff Cox (Annette), Dave Cox (Lisa), Christie Cox, Stephen Cox and Kerry Lynn Cox. Ryan dearly loved his ten nieces and nephews: Sarah, Jake, Zach, Andrew, Maggie, Josh, Grace, Taylor, Mason and Austin. He will also be missed by his Alaskan family, including his girlfriend, Brandy, Uncle Jerry, Aunt Cindy and many friends. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his loyal dog, Sea Bass (Sebastian), who shared many great adventures with him.
A memorial service honoring Ryan's life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at noon at Goff Mortuary in Midvale, Utah at 8090 South State Street.
