Ruth Wetzel

Our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, passed away on January 14, 2015. She was born on March 9, 1932 to John and Catherine Phillips in Murray, Utah.

Ruth was married to Dean Wetzel for almost 60 years until his passing in 2008. She was a wonderful mother who was content to live her life simply. Ruth enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan.

Survived by her sons, Paul (Shauna), Mark (Galyn), Scott (Cathryne); daughter, Deanna (Keith) Rosenthal; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 7 siblings. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dean and one brother.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Adam Cohen from Huntsman Cancer Institute, the staff at CareSource Hospice and a special thanks to Camille from CNS Hospice.

A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. A family graveside will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015 at West Jordan City Cemetery, 7800 South 1300 West.
